Newness Defines Us

In this business, newness is often what keeps us going, excited, and engaged. Product innovation can kickstart a brand, turning it from obscurity to notoriety overnight. The goal of bringing new products to the market, or updating existing models, is to make the user experience better, not simply to make changes simply for the sake of turning over product from season to season. With innovation and pushing the envelope further in mind, here are some new (or updated) products from each brand we represent that we are stoked on this spring!

Want your new kicks to stand out without revealing your socks? Prefer minimalist clothing that maximizes performance without compromising fit? The new Elite Ultra Light Invisible socks from Feetures is the answer. With a left and right anatomical fit, extra low cut, and silicone tape heel hugger technology, these socks will stay on no matter what, while providing minimal coverage for running or everyday use.

A few years ago Gregory came out with a 3D reservoir system, that keeps the bladder from sticking to itself and holds it shape, particularly affective when drying out the unit, meaning gunk and mold doesn’t accumulate. This spring, we launched a new reservoir, easier on the wallet, with eye catching orange color pops, an easy fill handle, and a bottle style, leak proof cap.

What’s on trend in the running world? Cushion, cushion, and more cushion. Altra’s new max cushion Via Olympus is our most plush, most cushioned, most marshmallowy shoe yet. With a 33mm stack height, original Footshape fit, and heel to toe rocker, your feet will thank you on those long days spent working the retail floor.

Do you really need a dry treated rope when you are climbing on a sunny day? Yes! Having a coating on a climbing rope helps drastically reduce the amount of dirt and dust a rope accumulates, meaning it lasts longer, keeps it’s strength, and is easier to climb with. Sterling ropes game changing technology called Xeros, dry treats every individual fiber, down to the size of a human hair, meaning the coating won’t just wear off after several uses. My favorite rope is the Xeros Ion R 9.4mm, for it’s easy handling, versatility, and longevity.

In the outdoor industry, there is a lot of greenwashing, making products appear more environmentally friendly than they actually are. There’s no faking the legitimacy of UCO’s new line of camp kitchen gear. We’ve added new cups, utensils, and mess kits to our ECO line, which is made out of post-consumer and post-industrial plastic waste material (no virgin plastic) and fully recyclable.

Ok, so Sealskinz doesn’t have any new products this spring. In F23, BIG changes are coming! Not only are we going through a rebrand, bringing a wider color palate, fresh logo, and clean lines and cuts, but we are just beginning the transformation from a waterproof brand to an all-season brand. With new non waterproof socks, hats, and gloves coming, Sealskinz is taking the next step to becoming a full-service apparel brand.
