As our trails get busier and busier (that’s a good thing!) sometimes it feels like they get loved a little too much. It’s easy to focus on the crowds, the traffic, and the trash that liters the trails and trailheads. How often do we DO anything about it? As a small agency, we are lucky to have the ability to get out as a team and do some community service from time to time, to make a difference, rather than complain about what is broken. Last Wednesday we spent a couple of hours picking up trash at one of our local trailheads near North Bend, WA. We came away from the experience patting ourselves on the back, finding nothing worse than a few needles (non were used by us!), and eager to get out of the office and do more service soon. Here’s to working in such a fun industry!
